FAIRFIELD, AL – Congratulations to junior cornerback Justin Hill (5-7, 170) from Phoenix City, Alabama (Central High School) for being selected to the 2009 Football Gazette All-Super Region First Defensive Team.

Hill started 11 games for the Golden Bears in 2009. With the team, he tied for 1st place with 5 interceptions, while averaging 19.6 yards per return, ranked 4th on defense with 62 tackles, one punt return, one kickoff return, 1.5 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, one fumble recovery and forced one fumble.

Hill finished 2nd in the SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) in interceptions and 20th in tackles with 5.6 tackles per game and nationally ranked 28th in interceptions.

Don Hansen’s Football Gazette has selected NCAA Division II All-Region teams for seven seasons and selected small college football NCAA Division II All-America teams since 1988. The first-team and second-team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2009 NCAA Division II Football Gazette All-America teams are named.
