Orangeburg, SC – Miles men’s basketball team dropped its seventh game to Claflin University 70-73 Tuesday night at Edward L. Tullis Arena.

Miles record is 1-7 and 1-4 in the SIAC, while Claflin improves to 7-4 and 7-3 in conference play.

Junior point guard Rahim Barnes led the Golden Bears with a team-high 21 points, while hitting 6-of-14 shots and going 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Barnes also had 3 assist and 3 steals. Sophomore center Roy Maduabunchi scored his first double-double for the season with 14 point and 13 rebounds. Roy hit 5-of-7 shots from the floor and 4-of-4 from the line.

Anthony Pigram scored a game-high 24 points for Claflin.

Miles will play the Lions of Paine College in Augusta, GA on Thursday, December 31 at 8:00 p.m.
