| Orphey and Jones Named To SIAC Preseason All-Conference Basketball Team |

Fairfield, AL – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the 2009-10 SIAC Women’s and Men’s Preseason All-Conference Basketball Teams and Predicated Order of Finish.
Miles College Lady Bears junior guard Ashley Orphey from Soperton, Georgia made preseason all-conference first team. Orphey averaged 10.3 points per game last season, while leading the team in assist with 6.8 assist per game and 3.5 steals per game. Senior guard Cyntonia Jones from Ellenwood, Georgia was named to the preseason all-conference second team. Jones finished last season as the Lady Bears second leading scorer averaging 11.6 points per game and grabbing 4.4 rebounds a game. The Lady Bears was chosen by the SIAC Coaches Association to finish six in the SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference), while Fort Valley State is predicated to finish first. 2009-10 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team First Team:
