The SIAC football coaches picked the Golden Bears to finished 5th in the conference at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Annual Football Kick-Off Luncheon, as well as announcing the 2009 Preseason All Conference Football Teams and Predicted Order of Finish in Atlanta, Georgia.
Miles had two players named to the SIAC Preseason All Conference 2nd Team in quarterback Chivas Jones (6-0, 230) from DelRay Beach, FL (Atlantic High School) and offensive lineman Kenneth Peaks (6-3, 253) from Pensacola, FL (Woodham High School). Last season, Jones completed 101 passes on 190 attempts for 1,051 yards and 7 touchdowns, while rushing 50 times for -36 yards.
