Fairfield, AL – Miles College Athletic Director Augustus James announced the team's 10-game football schedule for the 2008 season on Wednesday.


The Golden Bears will open the season with the Tigers of Stillman College at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, August 31 in the 2nd Annual Labor Day Golden Classic.

The following week they will face the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL on September 6 and off on September 13. After an open week, Miles will host the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College on September 20. The Panthers of Clark Atlanta University will visit Albert J. Sloan-Alumni Stadium in Fairfield on September 27 and then the Tigers of Benedict College on October 4.

On October 11 the Golden Bears will take a short road trip to Selma, Alabama to play Concordia College, before heading home for homecoming and an October 18 date with Kentucky State University.

The Golden Bears will wrap up their season on a three game road swing in South Georgia with the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University on October 25 and Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee on November 1. On November 8 the team will travel to Albany, GA to play the Golden Rams of Albany State University.
