Miles Golden Bears Open Spring Football Practive

Fairfield, AL – Over 65 prospected players for the 2008 Miles College football team started working out today in hopes gaining a spot on the roster, as spring practice began on campus at 3:45 p.m.

Miles College head coach William “Billy” Joe, will begin his first season at the helm of the Golden Bears team. Coach Joe looked on as the returning players, walk-ons and red shirt players went through their drills on day one in shorts and helmets. The Golden Bears will practice in shorts and helmets again on Wednesday and Thursday and full gear on Friday.

The Golden Bears practice from 4:00 – 6:00 on Tuesday and is scheduled for the same time tomorrow.

“I am excited about the numbers I see out today and the quality of student-athletes on the field,” Coach Billy Joe said.
