BIRMINGHAM, AL – Junior guard Flawaan Flaggs scored a game-high 19 points to lead Miles, as they gave away a game to Tuskegee University Golden Tigers 55-54 Monday night a Fair-Park Arena in Birmingham.

Tuskegee improved its record to 2-6 and 2-2 in the SIAC and Miles falls to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Golden Bears went to half down 33-29 on 30.6 percent shooting and hitting 37.5 percent from the foul line. Tuskegee hit 52 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the line and 4-of-8 in 3-pointers.

Anthony Ward and Leon McKinney scored 10 points each, while grabbing 7 and 8 rebounds. Larry Swain hit 10 points and four assist, while Clive Castell pulled in a game-high 9 rebounds and another seven points for the best night as a Golden Bear..

At the horn, Byron Fisher hit the game winning three pointer to give the Golden Tigers the win, while scoring 8 points and hit the only three of the game. Jermale Jones hit a team-high 12 points to lead Tuskegee.

The Golden Bears will host the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College this Saturday, January 12 at Knox-Windahm Gym in Fairfield, AL at 7:30 p.m.
